Superior Performance

Charles ‘Sonny’ Sweet

In 2004-08, Sonny earned several honor awards with his Superior Performance. The honor awards include 11-in-a-row, two 300 games, and one 800 series. He took second place in doubles in the 2006 City Tournament. He averaged 209 in a senior league in 2008.

Ed was a member of the team that took first place at the Men’s Invitatonal Tournament, a member of the team that took second place at the City Open, part of the second place duo at the City Open, and was first place All Events at the City Open.

Angie has one of the top five averages in CCUSBC. She was a member of the first place team at the Women’s City Tournament and took first place in the virtual singles. She placed third in doubles at the City Open and was the highest placing woman in the All Events category.

Through the years of bowling, Ed has shown hard work, team work, and how much he loves bowling every time he comes to the lanes. He encourages and coaches others. Ed has been bowling for a long time serving as an officer in the local association before the associations merge and as an officer in many of the leagues he bowled.

Khia has a positive atitude and friendly personality. She has been voted team captain from the high school team and bowls on the youth and King/Queen of the Hill leagues. Regarding her love for bowling, her average started at 148 and is currently 182, and she travels to many tournaments. Currently, her high game is a 270 and high series is 713. Khia is a sophomore in high school taking AP classes with a GPA of 3.08. She is a member of the Health Occupaton Sciences Club. All her spare 􀆟me is either dedicated to working at the bowling alley, studying or practicing her bowling techniques.

Mason Frederickson

Mason is a pleasure to be around. As one of the oldest youths in the league, he literally towers over the rest of the league. At a high school interscholastic match in December, his interaction with teammates as well as the opposing team showed camaraderie and sportsmanship. Mason makes CCUSBC proud. Mason has a 3.0 GPA and excels in Geography, history and culture. He has been to 3 continents and at least a dozen countries. He participated in The Polar Plunge for Special Olympics, ran a booth at a Trunk or Treat Event and participated in a community coat drive and Santa photos.
