Categories and past inductees

Superior Performance - A candidate must be a current member, in good standing, of the CCUSBC Association with a combination of four of the following criteria:
    • Local tournament titles (including all events),
    • Honor scores,
    • Within top five of association high averages, and
    • Previous Bowler of Year*.

*Previous Bowler(s) of the Year, in the immediately preceding year or otherwise, do not automatically win this award the next or future years. Past Bowler of the Year awards are one of multiple criteria taken into consideration.

Meritorious Service - A candidate must be a member of the Carson Country USBC Association.

A candidate must be or have been dedicated to the development of certified bowling at the association level either by offices held, committee service, or participation in other Carson Country bowling activities, including recruitment and retention of league and youth bowlers.

​Bowler of the Year, Male and Female - All members of the Carson Country USBC Association are eligible for these annual awards each specified year. The awards will be presented each year at the CCUSBC annual meeting.
 
Previous winners are eligible again after a 5-calendar-year waiting period.
 
This award is based on total points earned by participation and performance of bowlers; nominations are not needed.
 
 Criteria include the following:
    • Participation in tournaments
    • Carson Country Tournament Titles (First, second, third places and all events)
    • 800 Honor Scores
    • 300 Honor Scores
    • 140 pins over average series award scores
    • 100 pins over average game award scores

Love of Bowling - All members of the Carson Country USBC Association are eligible for one Love of Bowling Award that will be given each bowling year. CCUSBC Board reserves the right to give more than one award when appropriate.

A candidate must be in good standing with USBC.

A candidate must perpetuate the love of bowling by volunteer efforts, supporting the sport of bowling, unselfish dedication to the promotion of bowling, and demonstration of good sportsmanship.

Star of Tomorrow - The purpose of the Star of Tomorrow Award is to honor the CCUSBC Association Youth members who demonstrate sportsmanship, leadership, volunteerism and skills in the sport of bowling. This award is open to all current Youth members in good standing with the Carson Country USBC Association. The award is presented in adherence to USBC Youth requirements and consists of a $500 scholarship from CCUSBC and plaque. CCUSBC Board reserves the right to give more than one award when appropriate.

Candidate must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, must be of amateur status as defined by USBC rules, must 18 years or younger as defined by USBC, and must not have bowled for money or merchandise in accordance with USBC eligibility rule 400.

Additional application requirements may be determined by the CCUSBC Youth Committee, who will review the initial applications to ensure they meet the minimum requirements.

Judging will be based equally on scholastic ability, community involvement, and bowling accomplishments. Members are eligible for one award during their youth careers.
